Deep knowledge and passion for trees

With more than 18 years’ experience in arboriculture, Lindsey brings both technical expertise and a genuine passion for trees. She holds the Technicians Certificate in Arboriculture, the Professional Tree Inspection qualification, and is a Technical Member of the Arboricultural Association. Her career began as a local government Tree Officer, where she spent seven years advising on planning applications, assessing TPO applications and Section 211 Notices, serving new TPOs, carrying out condition surveys of the council’s trees, and overseeing new tree planting. These early years laid the foundation for her strong knowledge of tree management and her commitment to balancing the needs of people, places, and nature.

Arboricultural experience

Over the last decade, Lindsey worked her way up to Principal Arboricultural Consultant within an environmental consultancy, gaining experience at every level before taking on a leadership role providing expert advice and guidance across a wide range of projects. Her experience spans everything from high-level strategic sites to detailed development projects, as well as on-site arboricultural supervision during construction to ensure compliance with planning policy and TPO requirements. Alongside this, she has developed strong project management skills and cross-disciplinary experience, with a solid understanding of veteran and ancient trees, and ancient woodlands. Lindsey’s approach is grounded in practical, hands-on knowledge, and she takes pride in offering pragmatic, honest, and reliable advice tailored to each unique project.

Love for nature and the outdoors

Outside of work, Lindsey has a genuine love for nature and the outdoors and can often be found walking in woodlands or the countryside. At home, she has created her own wildlife-friendly garden — a space designed to welcome birds, bees, and insects. It’s a place where she enjoys planting and weeding, watching new life take root, and finding a sense of peace in the rhythms of nature.

Animals also hold a special place in her heart, particularly dogs, cats, and horses. She has a soft spot for sighthounds, having shared her life with an ex-racing rescue greyhounds until last year, and continues to support the breed through her volunteering with Forever Hounds Trust. Today, she shares her home with her husband, two much-loved cats and the recent arrival of a rescue podenco puppy.
