Deep knowledge and passion for trees

Lindsey has over 17 years of experience in the arboricultural industry, holds a Technicians Certificate in Arboriculture and Professional Tree Inspection and is a Technical Member of the Arboricultural Association. Over this time she has developed a deep knowledge and passion for trees and their management. Her journey began as a local government tree officer, where she spent 7 years dealing with tree-related matters in the public sector, which included acting as a consultee on planning application, assessing TPO application and Section 211 Notices, reviewing and serving TPOs, tree condition assessments of the council’s tree stock and sourcing and organising planting of the council's new trees.

Arboricultural experience

For the last 10 and a half years, she worked her way up to Principle Arboricultural Consultant within an environmental consultancy, providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of projects and helping to lead the Arboricultural team. Throughout her time within private consultancy, she has worked on a variety of projects of all scales, from high-level strategic sites through to large and small detailed development sites, also working on construction sites, providing essential arboricultural supervision, ensuring tree management practices are followed, and compliance with planning policy and TPOs. She also brings a detailed understanding of project management and cross-disciplinary experience, along with a solid knowledge of veteran and ancient trees and ancient woodlands. Her expertise is established in practical, hands-on knowledge, and she take pride in offering pragmatic, honest and reliable advice tailored to each unique project.

Love for nature and the outdoors

In addition to her professional qualifications and experience, she has a genuine love for nature and the outdoors and is often found walking in woodlands and the countryside in her free time. Gardening is another of her of passions, and she enjoys the peace and quiet, listening to the birds, whilst getting her hands dirty planting or weeding her wildlife friendly garden.

Animals also hold a special place in her heart, particularly dogs, cats and horses. Especially greyhounds and sighthounds, and up until last year she had ex-racing, rescue greyhound. She also volunteers for Forever Hounds Trust, where she helps raise funds to support this sighthound rescue charity. She currently shares her home with two lovely cats and her partner.
